HARDER TO FORGET, THAN IT WAS TO LEAVE.

Have you ever left someone or something ?. And did leaving really end it? What an odd thought to have at a fast-paced world, when names are easily forgotten, faces blur in the crowd and once-loved places are claimed with stories that aren’t ours. Me, sometimes i wonder if im one of those people who fell victim of an apathetic speedy life, because i can’t outrun it.

Back to the heart of the story, you remember the times that made leaving impossible, times full of purpose. It’s like you were complete, piece by piece, perfectly assembled by someone or something that saw every piece of you. So what if it’s a party you’re always invited to, a workplace you’re alway part of, a long-going habit, or just something that proved you could belong. You left it, remember?, it wasn’t just taken away from you. You got sick of partying, of being the most loved of them all in a room, the one who never leaves. And so in leaving you once risked that abundance by stepping into a life without it. You took responsibilty for your choice. But responsibilty doesn’t remove doubt.

Did you trade something you needed, for something you thought you wanted? Is this supposed to called ‘‘freedom’’?

But who’s going to finger-point at you and blame you? When in reality, no one really gets over anything themselves. You can’t be blamed for wanting everything back, but neither can you ignore the impact of returning. You can be blamed for stepping back into a life that has moved on without you. And by that understaning, true maturity is to realise that others have their own life to live, and by imposing yourself, you might disrupt it. Besides what good does it do you either way.

Inevitably, freedom is pursued by leaving, and sometimes leaving is the only way to truly see what matters. Those pieces are yours, those parties and habits and jobs and one way tickets whether they’re for a country or an unrefundable choice. Every single one, are reminders that leaving sometimes teaches more than staying ever could. In this fast-paced world then, a precious thing can be earned, and that’s Perspective. So, Harder to forget than it was to leave? Is it really? Maybe only if we forget to look forward. And in that, leaving becomes less about loss and more about the endless possibilities that follow.

Don’t ever forget that you’re full of life
